New Poem "Perceptions & the Switch"
Monday 05 Jun 2017
This new poem has been gestating for some time, and following a recent discussion with our Monday night Meditation group at the Cambodian Buddhist Society, (CBSWA) the time had come for it to be written.
I think this poem is an important poem for deepening our insight into the reality of the present moment. The Buddha's teachings are not easy to understand, because we all have so much conditioning to see through. To this end I realised I would need to add a couple of explanatory boxes to explain my take on things. I trust these ways of seeing are helpful for you.
It is only when the mind can come to stillness over an extended time period and has the opportunity to notice the movement of everyday life against the stillness that the "penny starts to drop". This is when the perceptions can switch to be more real. I do hope you get pleasure and insight from this poem.
The poem can be accessed from the cascade above in Volume 2 of my poetry, or you can click the link here:
